  • Cut the steaks into 2 inch cubes. Cut the tomatoes into a 1 inch size. Cut the green peppers into 4 pieces. Cut the cilantro into thin pieces. Peel the skin off the ginger then cut into 1/2 inch (1 cm) horizontally then vertically.
  • Heat the oil in a pot and add the pieces of steaks to the hot oil. Lightly brown the steaks slowly. After the water dries up from the steaks, then add the tomato sauce, salt, red chili powder, turmeric powder, cloves, whole black pepper, cumin, and the cinnamon stick. Add 2 cups of water.
  • Cook at medium high heat until steaks are done and the rest of the water is dried up. After that add the fresh tomato pieces, green peppers, ginger, then cook for 5 minutes. Add the cilantro after the 5 minutes and cover the top of the pot. Give it another 5 minutes to mix into everything.

Special Equipment Needed


You can serve this with pita bread or white rice. You can add yogurt (Kraft) on the side if it is too spicy.
