  • Heat single size canola oil brushed skillet over medium heat Reduce heat to low-medium setting. Spread low fat, no trans fat butter in thin layer on one side of each slice of bread. Butter side up, sprinkle garlic/parsley mix lightly over bread slices.
  • Resume medium heat under skillet. Lay one slice butter side down in heated skillet. Apply one slice 2% Kraft American cheese and top with one slice butter side up of bread. Heat each side for approximately 2 - 3 minutes until golden brown. Remove after both sides are browned. Set on large plate.
  • Cut sandwiches crossways into two triangles and then cut the triangles in half. After all sandwiches are finished and cut, you should have approximately 16 kid sized triangles.

Special Equipment Needed

A good indication that the bottom side of a grilled cheese sandwich is golden brown is to watch the uncooked top-side (when first put in skillet). When the uncooked top-side begins to melt butter along the edges of the top, then it is a good idea to flip or you might end up with one burnt side. Afterwards, flip sandwiches according to time it took for first side to cook.
