  • - Preheat oven to 350°F
  • - Wash mushrooms, then remove and finely chop stems
  • - Cook bacon and crumble
  • - Finely chop onions
  • - Crush crackers or croutons into small pieces
  • - Mix mushrooms stems, egg, crackers, cheese, garlic, onions, & dill together
  • - Fill mushrooms caps with stuffing mixture (extra stuffing can be baked in a small soufflé or brulée cup)
  • - Place mushrooms on a baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes or until stuffing browns

Notes

Sausage or veggie sausage can also be used in place of bacon or bacon/meat can be omitted entirely.
