  • Line a 13 by 9 inch pan with graham crackers. Some will have to be cut to fit. Cook vanilla pudding mix using 3 1/2 cups of milk in saucepan according to package directions. Pour over graham crackers in pan. Let set for about 5 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, wash saucepan. Place another layer of graham crackers over the vanilla pudding. Cook chocolate pudding with 3 1/2 cups of milk. Pour over vanilla layer.
  • Add another layer of graham crackers. Cook butterscotch pudding with remaining 3 1/2 cups of milk and pour over chocolate layer. Let cool for about 10 minutes.
  • Place in refrigerator for 4 hours or overnight. Cut in squares and serve with a dollop of Cool Whip.


If butterscotch pudding is not available, use either a second layer of chocolate or vanilla pudding. This recipe has been in my family for years, my Grandmother used to make it on holidays more than 50 years ago.
