  • Preheat oven to 375° - 400°. Now take your cake mix and prepare according to directions on box. Then add your 2 tsp. of lemon extract, lemon juice, lemon liqueur, lemon zest and poppy seeds.
  • Now take 2 round pans and spray with cooking spray with flour not to much or it will stick. Bake according to box directions. Let cool on wire rack for 10 minutes.
  • Now cut the tops to make a smooth surface and then flip the cake so the top is now the bottom. Now take your vanilla frosting and add 1 tsp. of lemon extract and mix. Take your bottom cake and add frosting to the top. Then add your top cake and cover in frosting. Then if desire sprinkle a little sugar on top and poppy seeds.

Special Equipment Needed


When frosting a cake add wax paper to all sides. When done frosting take the wax paper off so you have a beautiful edge.
