  • Heat a nonstick skillet (must be completely nonstick!). Once hot, place a healthy mound (depending on the size you want your chip) directly in the hot skillet and let melt until it begins to harden at the bottom.
  • Once the bottom is hard, the cheese should be easy to flip. Flip the cheese and leave for a few seconds until the second side hardens.
  • The cheese should hold together but is still pliable. Let stand a few minutes until the cheese completely hardens and use in place of regular chips and crackers.

Special Equipment Needed

Variation: Taco Shells---Make the cheese mound bigger, once both sides are done and while cheese is still pliable, lay the cheese across a wire rack (your oven rack is perfect) so it can fold in the shape of a taco shell. Once hardened, fill with your favorite taco ingredients...remember that the shell is cheese, so you won't need to put any inside of your taco!
