  • Add any spices you like to get the flavor you want, i.e., just fresh dill for a dill dip; or little bit of horseradish for kick, herbs, Worcestershire sauce or soy sauce, dry mustard, season salt, or onion salt, fresh or powdered garlic.
  • Serve with raw carrots, celery, pepper, grape tomatoes, broccoli, cauliflower, snap peas, etc.


Tastes like a rich sour cream dip. This is one of those recipes that you can create for yourself. Just start adding a little bit of the spice cupboard at a time until you get the taste you like. My mom made this recipe up in 1971 when my dad became diabetic and she needed a appetizer for a dinner. It went over well then and now there are many versions of these low cal dips.
