  • Cook elbows, put aside & let cool. Preheat oven to 350°F. Meantime, cube Velveeta Cheese (save one quarter of Velveeta to make slices), place in microwave safe bowl and melt in a microwave oven about 20 to 30 seconds. Add cubed cream cheese and butter to melted Velveeta and melt about 20 seconds. Add milk and beat with electric mixer. You may have to add additional milk to have a nice creamy mixture.
  • Add cheese sauce to cooked elbow macaroni in a large aluminum pan (or 2 smaller pans) and mix well.
  • Bake 1/2 hour to 45 minutes (mixture will bubble) in oven. Remove from oven and top with slices of the Velveeta Cheese and put back in oven till top cheese slices are almost golden and melted slightly.

A crowd pleaser. Great for barbeques. Cut recipe in half and have a great family meal or side dish or make the whole recipe and freeze half. It's just as good as when it was made fresh
