  • Thoroughly mix first three ingredients; stir in onion, celery, and crab; set aside.
  • Prepare macaroni al dente; rinse in cold water and drain thoroughly. Fold into crab mixture.
  • Parboil broccoli 2-5 minutes just until bright green and crisp-tender. Rinse in cold water and drain thoroughly. Fold carefully into macaroni mixture.

Notes

Don’t overcook macaroni or broccoli or they'll disintegrate when you fold them in. This can be served immediately, but it's better if refrigerated several hours first to let the flavors develop. Fresh, raw asparagus tips can be substituted for the parboiled broccoli florets. For a reduced calorie version, use fat-free mayonnaise and light sour cream.
