  • In a large skillet brushed with oil, pan fry the beef cuts or stew meat. Pour 2 Tbsp. of oil into the browning meat and continually mix and stir to cook evenly. Finished meat will be slightly pink in the center but should not be bright pink, raw, or bleeding at all. When thoroughly cooked remove from heat.
  • After cooling for 3 to 5 minutes, place cooked meat into a bowl and add maple syrup over the meat enough to pool at the bottom of the bowl. Mix the meat and syrup to fully cover the meat. Cover and set aside for 5 minutes.
  • Next brush flour or oil onto foil. Place the meat into the foil and wrap in loose packet. Place in baking pan and bake at 350 degrees for 8 minutes. Remove and unwrap. Insert toothpicks and serve.

Special Equipment Needed

Mixing meat and syrup sounds silly but the meat actually does come out juicy and the maple coating adds a slightly sweet taste. Be sure to not overdo the maple syrup as you do not want a caramelized piece of meat after you bake it.
