  • Prepare electric pan or 9x12 baking dish by adding the rice, water, oregano, parsley flakes, cayenne pepper, drained tomatoes, sliced onion, salt and flaked tuna. (I prefer boiling the onion slices for a few minutes to soften before adding to the recipe.)
  • Make the cheese sauce by taking the flour and butter and heating in a saucepan over the stove (low heat) till it forms a rue (paste like consistency). Gradually add the salt, pepper, evaporated milk and cheeses. Heat till cheeses melt. Pour cheese sauce over the other ingredients in the electric pan or 9x12 baking dish.
  • Bake for 15 minutes at 375 degrees F.

Special Equipment Needed


This was an original Kraft recipe but I haven't seen it for years. Probably 1960's or 1970's. I enjoy it.
