  • 1. Cut onion, garlic, and ginger and then grind it.
  • 2. Take deep fry pan put some oil in fry pan and add all ground paste and heat until it gets a little brown.
  • 3. Then add salt, red chili, (those who don't like red chili can use green chili instead), turmeric powder and gram masala, and mix it with paste.
  • 4. Wash green peas before you use, and then add them into mixture. Add 3 bowls of water and cover the pan.
  • 5. Cook it for 15 to 20 min. on low heat. Gravy should be getting thick and peas should be mashed. If not, heat for 10 min more.
  • 6. Cut the paneer into slices and add paneer into gravy. Heat for 2 minutes then remove pan from stove. Serve hot with boiled or fried rice.

You can even eat this raw or you can BBQ it too. Paneer is healthy -- available in Indian grocery store -- a fresh, unripened cheese, similar to farmer cheese or pot cheese. Garam Masala -- a blend of dry-roasted, ground spices
