Rated 5 out of 5 by from This was very easy and very good. This was very easy and very good. I could not find shoulder so I used a boston butt roast instead. I cooked it in the oven in a roasting pan by itsself for 8 hours, Then I shredded it and put it in my crock pot, with the bottle of bbq sauce and a half cup of orange juice and turned it on low for the rest of the day. I tasted it and it was really good but it needed just a little kick so, I poured a bunch of Mr. Dash southwest chipotle seasoning in it. That gave it the perfect kick! I served this for the super bowl and everyone loved it! Even the kids!! I don't think I will ever buy premade bbq again!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Started this dinner before I headed out to work. Started this dinner before I headed out to work. LOVED that it was ready for US when we all got home at the end of the day. Was super delicious. The meat was tender. Can't go wrong with this recipe. We added cheese to our sandwiches and it made so much meat we had leftovers for lunches for the next two days!! Definitely a weekly menu maker!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The flavor was great! The flavor was great!! I used Cattleman's BBQ Sauce 'tho. I also did not put the meat back into the sauce it was cooked in (too watery and greasy. I just put fresh BBQ sauce on it.....Yuuuummmmm!! Will definitely make again. Now that I've read the other reviews...will use fresh orange juice and put the rind in (I used store bought OJ).

I covered it with the bbq sauce and added a can of frozen orange juice concentrate, a sliced white onion, and black pepper. This absolutely rocked. I used a Tangelo orange and squeezed it then put the whole rind in the cooker. Awesome.

Everyone ate till they could eat no more. Needless to say everyone was able to take some home with them for later. That's the fun of cooking. We will be doing this one again.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from This is definitely a matter of taste. This is definitely a matter of taste. The meat was tender as it should be in slow cooker, however for our family the sauce was not that great. I chose not to place all the meat back in cooker to evenly coat, Thank goodness or they would not have eaten it at all.
