  • 1. Spray the slow cooker with cooking spray. Cut flank steaks in half. Rub with the taco seasoning and extra chili powder and cumin to taste
  • 2. Place in the cooker and add the can of green chilies, the chopped onion and the vinegar.
  • 3. Cook on low for 8 hours. Use two forks to shred meat in the cooker.

Awesome in burritos, tacos, quesadillas, nachos and salads!!!!!! Freezes and re-heats well. I found this recipe too mild for my taste with only the two packs of seasoning. It really jazzes the dish up if you add the cumin and the chili powder. My Aunt uses dried Italian packets and omits the green chilies.

I thought it needed a little more kick. My husband liked it and said it tasted even better the next day

this is definitely one to keep. It was really good and my husband loved it. I would definitely use the cumin and chili powder though. we used the leftovers for beef sandwiches

I made this using cumin and chili powder...I also added a little bit of medium salsa. It came out GREAT! My husband who loves anything spicy or Mexican would not stop talking about how much flavor it had. I wrapped it up with spanish rice and cheese, great meal!
