A 3 1/2 inch flat-bottomed coffee cup or glass works the best to flatten biscuits.
Try not to leave a thick bottom on the biscuit. The dough doesn't cook as well.
It is important to leave a high rim. The biscuits have a certain amount of memory so they want to go back to their original shape.
Don't use pizza sauce or spaghetti sauce. Both are too watery and leaves the dough mushy and undercooked.
If you are a cheese lover, more cheese can be used. In place of the processed cheese mentioned, Kraft Shredded Mozzarella can be used or any combination of pre-shredded Kraft Cheeses.
Mushrooms are also a good addition and should be added after putting on the sausage.
