  • Heat ground beef in skillet. When almost browned thoroughly, add onion and let sweat until translucent. Add garlic last so it does not brown and turn bitter.
  • In a large pot, boil pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain pasta and return to pot.
  • Add ground beef mixture, tomatoes, seasonings if needed, and enough water to make the sauce as thick or thin as you prefer.
  • Let simmer until warmed all the way through, approximately 20 minutes. Serve with garlic bread.

Special Equipment Needed


This was my grandmother's recipe. Very simple and a favorite of mine. She didn't have exact measurements of course, but this is as close to her's as it can get.
