  • Combine sugar, flour & salt in mixing bowl. Add softened butter and mix well.
  • Beat eggs in separate bowl & stir into mixture along with milk & vanilla.
  • Pour into pie shell and bake at 350 for approx. 40 minutes.

    Oh my goodness...I made this pie for my husband who wanted me to make one for him for his birthday. I have never made one before so this is the first place I looked and he absolutely loved it and asked for me to make another!! Thanks alot for sharing!

    Chess Pie is my husband's favorite dessert and he loved this. I think when I make it again, I'll use 3/4 stick of butter instead of a full stick.

    Loved this pie!! It reminds me of a butterchess pie at a local caferteria. The only thing I think I messed up on was how soft the butter needed to be. My pies came out a little dense. . . but they were gone within 2 hours!!
