This meal can also be prepared in a slow-cooker: Brown meat, then mix other ingredients with plenty of extra water and cook on low until done. Keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't dry out.

I made this recipe for my family of 5. I'm so excited that almost all of us enjoyed it (my 2 and 3yr old complained about eating the meat, but they always do anyways). I loved it because it didn't have a strong game taste. I barely could taste that it was venison.
I left it in cold water in the fridge for 2 nights, and changed the water a few times. I put the meat in a pot to cook it and a lot a of water came out of it. I threw the water out and rinsed the meat to get all the brown stuff off of it. Then put a little bit of vege. oil in the pot a fried the meat until it browned a little. Added the ingredients recommended but I probably put more than a cup of water in it. I wanted my sauce thin rather than real thick. I let it seemer on low heat for over 1 1/2 and wow it was real good and tender. Another 30 min and the meat would've been falling apart on it's own.
