  • (If using venison meat, soak in water in the fridge overnight prior to use.) Lightly spray a non-stick skillet with cooking spray. Brown meat over medium heat until brown on all sides.
  • While meat is browning, mix mushroom soup, onion soup mix, and water together in a bowl.
  • Once meat is brown, lower heat and add soup mixture to the pan. Cover and simmer until meat is cooked through. Mixture will thicken as it cooks.

Notes

This meal can also be prepared in a slow-cooker: Brown meat, then mix other ingredients with plenty of extra water and cook on low until done. Keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't dry out. This dish is great served over Minute Rice, or a bed of mashed potatoes.

I put the meat in a pot to cook it and a lot a of water came out of it. I threw the water out and rinsed the meat to get all the brown stuff off of it. Then put a little bit of vege. oil in the pot a fried the meat until it browned a little. Added the ingredients recommended but I probably put more than a cup of water in it. I wanted my sauce thin rather than real thick. I let it seemer on low heat for over 1 1/2 and wow it was real good and tender. Another 30 min and the meat would've been falling apart on it's own. My 9 year old loved it and went for seconds of the meat only. I served it over a bed of white rice with corn and it was pra
