Notes

Feel free to decorate. I sometimes use a cake comb (or fork) and stripe it, or make extra frosting and do borders, etc. Sprinkle with walnuts on top if you wish. My family loves this recipe. A dear friend baked it for us when we lost our father. When I told her how much everyone liked it, I asked would you share your recipe with us. She laughed sheepishly and said, "I am embarrassed. I baked it for a funeral but it is called "Hawaiian Wedding Cake". No matter what the occasion, everyone will love this quick easy recipe! I hope you enjoy it.

I made this for supper at my sisters and everyone loved it. They thought I worked hard making a scratch cake but it was the easiest caked I've made in a long time and tasted great. I would make again and serve company.
