  • 1. Melt a bar of the Hershey plain chocolate bar in a double boiler, and thinly spread some between two Oreo Cookies and "glue" the cookies together with the melted chocolate.
  • 2. Break a full sized plain Hershey's chocolate bar in half. Use the melted chocolate to again "glue" the chocolate bar half, printed side down, on top of the Oreo sandwich.
  • 3. Cut off a thin strip of licorice smaller than the Oreo stack, and dip one end into the melted chocolate and "glue" it onto the Oreo stack near the chocolate top. Keep chilled or cool until serving
  • Voila - you have an irresistible, easy graduation hat that the graduate and all guests will love to eat!

I came up with this idea for my oldest son’s high school graduation. I was able to use orange colored licorice for the tassel. They were a great hit, and very easy to make and cool looking. I have never seen anyone else make them before!
