  • Beat eggs and sugar together. Add flour and vanilla. Melt butter in the milk and add to the mixture. Pour onto a greased cookie sheet.
  • Bake at 350°F for 20 minutes.
  • Immediately after removing pan from the oven, frost the top with the peanut butter. After cooling, spread the frosting onto the top of the peanut butter.

Notes

To speed up the cooling process, place bars in the fridge before frosting. Bars can be stored covered in the fridge. Cut bars to desired size. Total time is an estimate, all depends on cooling time. Enjoy!!!!!!

This is very much like a classic recipe that has been showing up in my hometown for years. The recipe that I'm used to is the same, but with 1 tsp of baking powder in the cake. For the topping, we always melted a king-size Hershey bar and spread it over the peanut butter. This was good, but I think I like the classic version better.
