I like to use maple flavored bacon instead of regular bacon. It adds a bit more flavor. I usually add more because we really like green onions and we like the dip to be very chuncky.
This recipe can be made lower in fat by using fat-free sour cream, fat-free mayo, turkey bacon, and low-fat crackers. I made it low-fat (except I still used maple flavor bacon) and it was just as tasty!
