  • Slice green pepper is 1/8 inch strips. Slice onion in 1/8 inch rings. Cut rings in half and seperate (2 slices needed).
  • Slice steak across the grain in thin stips. Season meat as desired with pepper, salt and garlic powder
  • Preheat broiler. Heat oil in pan on med-high heat. Add meat, green peppers and onion. Saute until veggies are soft and meat is cooked (3-5 minutes). Do not overcook. Drain excess juices.
  • Slice hoagie buns along the length and open. Place open side up in broiler until lightly golden (2-3 minutes).
  • Remove from broiler, slather both sides of hoagie with mayo, cut provolone slices in half and place pieces on each side of hoagie buns. Place back in broiler until cheese is melted (about 2 minutes).
  • Take out, load meat, onion and green pepper mixture on bottom half of all buns, place the tops on and enjoy!

Special Equipment Needed

Partially frozen meat is easier to slice. Slice meat as close to paper thin as possible as it will be more tender when cooked.
