  • Drain pickles into large bowl and save.
  • In a large bowl mix pickle juice, sugar, and Tabasco. Stir well so that you dissolve as much sugar as possible. Add 1/2 of the drained pickles, onion, garlic, mustard seed, red pepper, and bay leaves. Repeat. Stir and mix as much as possible.
  • Cover and place in the fridge for 3 days, stirring once or twice a day. If you need to add more pickle juice to cover the top of the pickles, do so.

Notes

Yields: 8-10 (16 oz.) jars. If you plan to keep for a long time, seal in a boiling water bath for 10 minutes. Remember recipes are a starting point. Feel free to change to your own taste.
