  • Mix dry pudding mix and pineapple with juice in medium bowl. Gently stir in whipped topping.
  • Cut cake horizontally into three layers. Place bottom cake layer, cut side up on serving plate. Spread 1 1/3 cups of pudding mixture onto cake layer, cover with middle cake layer. Spread 1 cup of the pudding mixture onto middle cake layer, top with remaining cake layer. Spread with remaining pudding mixture.
  • Refrigerate at least one hour or until ready to serve. Store in refrigerator. Top with sliced or whole strawberries

    moist and flavorful...would even be great made with frozen strawberries when fresh are out of season.

    My daughter and I made 3 cakes using this as a guide. We made one just like the receipe, One with pineapple, banana pudding and strawberry coolwhip (That one was a big hit) and one with chopped peaches and vanilla pudding and reg. coolwhip. Instead of slicing the cakes, we broke them up into a 9 x 13 pan and layered the toppings This helped serve a large crowd for THREE birthdays. Will make again, very easy and quick and my daughter says low on WeightWatcher points.
