  • Mix and bake cake as directed. Immediately upon removing cake from the oven, use the handle of a wooden spoon and poke holes in the cake, (about 15). Pour the can of condensed milk over the cake and let stand about 10 minutes.
  • Pour the undrained can of pineapple and spread evenly over the cake. Allow to rest for about 1 hour, until completely cool.
  • Spread the cake with the entire container of Cool Whip and refrigerate for 2 - 3 hours.


This cake is so fast and simple to prepare. I take it for gatherings quite often. I usually make it just before bedtime so it can get really cold. My 16 year old granddaughter could probably eat a whole one by herself since it is her favorite cake; she loves it when there is some leftover for her.
