When I made this recipe it took two pies to get rid of the filling. And it is great for Christmas parties. I just used red sugar crystals instead of the peppermint candy. To make this more festive you could do red and green sugar crystals. Or if desired you could add some green food coloring to some whipped cream and add a dollop of it on each slice before adding topping. Also, you could make this any color for any occasion.
This certainly isn't a diabetic recipe!
I have made this before from the Betty Crocker cook book it is amazing!
