  • Cook pierogies in boiling water until el dente; drain and set aside
  • Saute onions in oil; when browned add peas and chicken broth. Add parsley flakes, salt, pepper, and minced garlic; stir and simmer about 20 minutes
  • Add pierogies and serve immediately.

Notes

If you put hot pirogues in hot liquid they will soak up all the juice. I like them with a little broth. That is why I cook the pirogues first and then let them cool.
