  • Put plantains under hot tap water to make it easier to slice open. Once peeled, cut in one inch slices. Begin boiling water in medium pot and add salt (of course to your own taste). While the plantains are boiling for about 30 minutes, you can begin preparing the other parts of this meal.
  • In one bowl slice the mozzarella and keep separate. In another bowl break eggs and mix the dash off all purpose seasoning. And in the next bowl, place the 1/2 pkg. of rice flour. Once the plantains are done, drain water and begin mashing plantains. Begin warming oil in frying pan, low flame.
  • Once mashed begin taking the plantains and with the palm of your hand begin shaping the plantain. To then add mozzarella into the bottom half of this cheese ball, then cover the top with plantain again.
  • Roll into a ball shape place in eggs (already with seasoning) then into flour and then begin to fry for about 4 minutes and then take out. And you will have a plantain cheese ball.

Special Equipment Needed


We always eat it with pork chops, and salad on the side. But you'll see the cheese balls will stuff you easily. Now it does take a long time just preparing all the ingredients, but I must tell you my family is always happy with the outcome. Delicioso!
