  • This is real simple. Just chop everything into big chunks and put into a large stew / soup pot. Add water, but not too much. Just don't submerge everything because it will cook down.
  • The only main thing is to place the sausage on top of all the vegetables. Cover with a lid and bring to a boil, then place about 4 to 6 pads of butter on top. Then turn to a medium heat and cook until potatoes and carrots are tender.

There is really no exact to this. It just depends on how many you are feeding and on what type of sausage you prefer. My dad made this and sometimes he'd add more or less of any item to change it up. Also serve with sweet cornbread. It's easy and it warms you in the cooler weather, I hope you enjoy it.
