  • Start your pasta first, you can use any pasta, I prefer spaghetti. Use as much as you want to create a pasta base for your sausage mixture. It should be cooking at the same time as the other ingredients. When done, just drain and set aside.
  • Meanwhile, cut open outer skin of Italian sausage and remove the meat. Discard the skin. Brown the meat in a large skillet, as you would ground beef; no need for oil, plenty of fat in the sausage.
  • Once browned, add frozen spinach directly on top and mix together. Cover and simmer for about 10 minutes or until the spinach is done. Serve over pasta and enjoy!

Special Equipment Needed


You can add salt and pepper to taste, but the sausage really does most of the seasoning for you. I use mild Italian sausage for this recipe, but you could probably use the sweet kind and achieve close to the same flavor.
