  • Preheat oven to 375°F. Brown ground beef and onions then drain. Mix beef, onions, and cream of celery soup and place in the bottom of a 13x9 casserole pan.
  • Spread cheddar cheese evenly over meat mixture. Arrange tater tots over cheese to cover cheese and meat mixture.
  • Place casserole in oven and bake 30-35 minutes or until tater tots are golden brown.


I have had friends make this recipe with cream of mushroom soup also and they loved it. I also prefer the tater tots to be crispy on top and put the oven on broil for a couple of seconds before removing it from the oven. This is a quick and easy dinner and can be eaten along with a salad or green beans. It can also be pre-made and placed in the refrigerator for several hours.

    Everyone went back for seconds. Complete hit with the family. I used extra crispy tater tots and added corn for extra texture. Would also be great with green beans added.
