  • You will need a large pot. You can use two if you have them. First cut out the heart of cabbage so the leaves will fall off easier. Place the cabbage into the pot and add water over the cabbage. Let it oil some and the leaves will be easy to come off and clean. Place the leaves onto a cookie sheet. Let it cook. While you are waiting on your cabbage go ahead and start cooking the rice. Follow the directions that package of rice. It should be for 3 cups of rice and 6 cups of water. Bring to a boil, stir and bring it down to a simmer or low. Remember stir your rice.
  • Next grab a large bowl and add your sauce and tomato soups. For the tomato soup fill the can with water for that size of the can. Pour into the bowl of mix. Stir well. Add Mrs. Dash Table blend, black pepper, salt, lemon pepper, garlic salt, and everglades with sauces.
  • Your cabbage should be cooled off enough for you cut the stem/spine of the leaf. Take a sharp knife and slowly cut it off; be careful not to put a hole in the leaf because you will need to roll the meat in it. For the leaves that are damaged you can use them to cover the bottom of your pan and your rolls.
  • After your rice is done cooking. Place the hamburger meat into another large bowl. Add half of the rice, onions, and eggs. If you think you want more rice in mix go ahead add it. So do not worry if there extra cook rice. Make sure you mix meat, onions, rice and eggs together well. The best way of mixing it together is with your hands. *Warning* your rice maybe still be hot.
  • Now that you have everything mix together; you are ready to roll. You will need like a roasting pan to place your cabbage rolls in. You can buy the throw away ones. They work just as good.:) Preheat oven to 375 *F. Place the damaged cabbage that you have on the bottom of the pan.
  • Take one leaf place down on surface that you are making them at. Grab a large tablespoon and scoop up hamburger meat mix. Place it on the bottom of your cabbage. Make sure you save enough space on the sides to fold over the meat and then you roll the cabbage. And you do this until you’re done. Place the rolls into your baking pan. Add your sauce. Let the sauce cover the sides and the top of cabbage rolls. Whatever cabbage you have left place on top of the rolls and add more sauce.
  • Place in the oven at 375*F. Let bake for 3 and half hours or until it falls apart. Keep an eye on it, because you may need to add more sauce.

Notes

I also add lemon and black pepper to the hamburger meat. You may need extra sauce. Also can try putting shredded cheese when your cabbage. I hope you enjoy it as much as myself and my family does.
