  • In large pot, brown hamburger meat; drain. Turn heat down to low/medium. Put browned hamburger back in pot.
  • Add the carrots, potatoes, cut green beans, whole kernel corn and cream of mushroom soup. Add 3/4 of the milk to start a "creamy, soupy" consistency. Stir to incorporate hamburger meat, vegetables, and mushroom soup.
  • Then add the rest of the milk; stirring slowly until well mixed. Add more milk if a thinner consistency is desired. Salt and pepper to taste. Eat it by itself or pour over cooked rice.


This recipe makes a lot. Freeze the unused portion and have it another day. It's been a favorite in my family going on a couple of years now and I get compliments from family and friends that have made it...months later! I have four boys, 3 are teenagers, and some evenings I need something quick and filling when they come home from school or sports practices. It's perfect for a rainy day or a cold winter’s night.
