  • Brown sausage and onion, then drain. Add kraut and crumbs. Combine cream cheese, mustard, salt, parsley, and pepper. Stir into meat. Chill. Shape into 3/4 inch balls.
  • Next make batter:
  • Combine eggs and milk. Roll balls in flour, then roll balls in eggs/milk, then coat with bread crumbs. May be refrigerated now.
  • Heat oil in deep fryer to 375 degrees F. Cook each batch 45 seconds (batch size depends on size of deep fryer).

Notes

To reheat: Heat in oven at 350 degrees F for 15 minutes or in microwave or in crock-pot on low (leave lid on initially to get heat up, then remove lid so that balls do not get soggy).
