  • Beat eggs, milk, parsley, rosemary, salt, and pepper together in large mixing bowl. Set aside.
  • Spray 9x13-inch baking pan with non-stick spray or rub with oil. Tear up bread slices and spread around bottom of 9"x13" pan. Set aside.
  • In skillet, brown sausage with onions and peppers, if used. Sprinkle sausage mixture over bread pieces in pan. Pour egg mixture over sausage and bread then top with cheese. Cover with foil and allow to set for at least 1 hour in the refrigerator.
  • Bake at 350 degrees F for 30-40 minutes, until cheese starts to brown. Allow to cool, approximately 10 - 15 minutes, and then slice into 8 servings.

Special Equipment Needed

This is a recipe that can be changed to accommodate many tastes. It is also a great breakfast idea that can be put together the night before, allowed to sit in the refrigerator until ready to bake the next morning. It is a real time saver for wonderful flavor! Parmesan cheese is also wonderful mixed in with the egg. Another cheese that can be substituted is Swiss. It goes wonderfully with the eggs. Enjoy!
