  • Toast slivered almonds in pan on med-high heat till nicely browned.
  • Heat sesame oil in large wok-like pan over med-high heat. Add chopped scallions and cook till tender. Add lemon zest. Saute till onions are slightly browned. Add previously soaked raisins (so they are soft) and the almonds. Saute all together adding more oil if needed.
  • Add cooked Jasmine rice to mixture. Turn up the heat to high once the rice is added. Gently mix all together, stirring from bottom, avoiding breaking rice, but thoroughly mixing all ingredients.

Special Equipment Needed


Excellent with roasted pork and chicken. Jasmine or Basmati rice is preferred, regualr rice doesn't add the same incredible flavor.
