  • Cube the Velveeta and the sticks of butter in a microwave bowl or in a double boiler pan over hot water, melt the two while stirring together.
  • Add 2 to 3 cans of drained shrimp, mix in well. Add the garlic salt to taste.
  • When totally mixed remove from heat source and cool slightly and cover and put in the fridge to chill.

Special Equipment Needed


Garlic salt is the best taste but can use granulated garlic or garlic powder. This makes a lot of spread, but it keeps well in the fridge. I usually serve it with crackers, but I have used celery stuffed with this mix and I have used it as a sandwich spread on toast.
