Make It

Tap or click steps to mark as complete

  • Brown hamburger and drain fat off.
  • Add onion, celery and green pepper and continue to saute for about five minutes.
  • Add catsup, stir and cook for about 10 more minutes.
  • Serve on hamburger buns, as topping for baked potato, as topping for a mild taco salad or any way you might enjoy.

Notes

I prefer a lean ground beef but other ground meats can be used. I do not at salt or pepper because I find the catsup has enough seasoning to make it taste great. If you like it heated up, you can add whatever you wish. It is a good basic recipe that can be added to, altered in any way you desire.

I didn't have much choices in the kitchen, no canned tomatoes, sloppy joe mix, paste etc.... This recipe saved dinner! Very simple with few ingredients. Wonderful!
