  • Cut the hot dogs into 4 pieces each; wrap each piece with 1/4 strip of bacon. Cut the smoked sausages into 6 pieces each. Slice the carrots into 1/4 inch pieces; slice the onion and celery into roughly 1-inch pieces.
  • Now you're ready to assemble the shish-kebobs: Alternating the six items as they're skewered is how I do it. The first (and last) item is carrot. Then, in order it would be this: carrot, hot dog & bacon, onion, celery, smoked sausage, carrot...
  • Sometimes I'll brush with barbeque sauce while cooking, but not always. These can be cooked outdoors on the grill, over a campfire, or using the oven in your kitchen. Cook for 25-30 minutes at 350 degrees F. Good luck, and enjoy!


You can see the progression. Fill your skewers; but make sure you START with carrot and END with carrot. One piece at each end helps keep the kebob together when it cooks.
