  • In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, crushed crackers, shredded cheese, and soup mix with the ground beef. In a small bowl, beat the eggs. Add in the ketchup and steak sauce and stir until blended. Add the egg mixture into the ground beef mixture. Combine thoroughly.
  • Shape into a loaf, and put into a large loaf pan. Top with 3 slices of bacon.
  • Bake at 350 degrees F for about 45 minutes to 1 hour (or until middle is no longer pink).


Crushed Ritz Crackers work perfect! White cheddar has a nice sharp flavor for this recipe. BBQ Sauce can be substituted for the steak sauce. To make ahead, cover and refrigerate after the loaf is complete...the longer it’s in the fridge the better it seems.

    this meatloaf was so greasy that we coulkdn't eat it. I even used extra lean ground beef.
