  • Brown steak in oil. Add to slow cooker. Add salt, pepper, garlic powder, sugar, and soy sauce to cooker.
  • Cook on low 5 hours. Add tomatoes and peppers. Cook for an additional hour.
  • Mix water and cornstarch to make a paste. Stir into slow cooker. Cook on high until sauce thickens. Serve over hot pasta or rice.

Notes

This recipe originally called for 1 tsp of ground ginger. I found that it tastes better without. This recipe makes great leftovers.
