  • Mix warm water, yeast, and 1 Tbsp. sugar in a bowl and let sit for 5 min. Meanwhile beat eggs, mix with 1/2 cup sugar and butter. Add 1 cup flour and 2 tsp salt, mix well. Add the yeast mixture and mix. Add flour 1 cup at a time until you reach a soft, not sticky dough ball (about 4 cups). Coat a small amount of olive oil on dough and let rise for 1 hour.
  • After, divide dough into 2 and roll out each section into a circle about 1/8 inch thick, spread butter all over top and cut with pizza cutter into 12 slices. Roll from the outside in to look like crescents. Repeat with each 1/2 of dough. Spray cookie sheet with cooking spray and place 12 rolls on each sheet. Cover with plastic and let rise for about 4 hours (can do 1 hour, but they don't get as fluffy).
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and bake for 15 minutes each sheet or until golden brown on top.

    The rolls came out light and fluffy, which surprised me on my first try. My family likes these.They taste pretty good, although hubby requested more salt in the next batch I make. They would have been even better, had I not forgotten to spread butter on them before rolling them. Thank you for sharing this recipe!
