  • PREHEAT oven to 300°F. Toss cereal with popcorn, pretzels and nuts in 15x10x1-inch baking pan. Sprinkle evenly with salad dressing mix.
  • MIX butter, Worcestershire sauce and garlic powder. Drizzle evenly over cereal mixture; toss to coat.
  • BAKE 30 to 35 minutes or until lightly toasted, stirring halfway through baking time. Cool. Store in tightly covered container at room temperature.

Notes

The trick to this recipe is to make the mix as cold as possible so be sure to let it cool down in a pan lined with paper towels before you put it in the fridge. ((I'm going to save this one for movie night, I'm so bored with popcorn.)) I'm adding hot sauce (A.1.) to the mix for an extra kick. After the mix is cooled down, set the entire bowl inside a bowl of ice to get the mix as cold as possible. This works really well, when you make sure that the bowl of ice is covered with foil, before you set your bowl of mix inside it. Best beer for this is a light beer, best pop is a plain soda water or flavored soda water (you can make a big pitcher of flavored soda water if you add any of the Crystal light fruit drink mixes for your flavors). This one recipe is the best for a lot of people. I got no complaints so far.
