A real family favorite from Grandpa to the teenagers to the really young 'uns, this dinner has been a great savior when there's a pound of ground round in the freezer but not much enthusiasm on the part of the chef!
It's fast and easy with the "prep time" being almost entirely the meat browning; leaving this time to toast the bread and grate the cheese. I try and delegate these two tasks to those milling around asking when dinner will be ready and getting them to set the table afterwards is great. Other than that - there is little to no effort involved.
I ususally serve with a can of green beans seasoned with lemon pepper and butter and warmed in the microwave while cheese is melting in oven. I have yet to have a slice left at the end of the meal.
