Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fabulous! Fabulous!! Everyone absolutely loved it at our Christmas Dinner. I used a Butter Pecan cakemix and nutella in place of the jam. I did have trouble making the snowflakes but used the melted chocolate to "cement" the cake together so it didn't slide as some people experienced. (Mix melted chocolate into one can prepared icing and add 1/4 cup icing sugar. Ice the cake and refrigerate. Refrigerate remaining pudding/coolwhip icing separately until just prior to serving -- otherwise the coolwhip pudding icing starts to separate from the "white chocolate icing" giving a "crackle" effect. I then decorated the cake with store bought snowflakes and blue sugar crystals). I'm still going to practice those snowflakes until I get it right for the next time!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I think this turned out really pretty.....right after I got done making/decorating it. I think this turned out really pretty.....right after I got done making/decorating it. The only problem was that I made it 2 days ahead of time and kept it in the fridge but it still seemed like it started melting so it didn't look as good as the day I made it. But everyone was still impressed and they all loved the taste. My recommendation would be to make it no more than 1 day ahead of time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I made this for Christmas and it tasted even better than it looks. I made this for Christmas and it tasted even better than it looks. Everyone LOVED it. The snowflakes would probably be easier to make with a pastry bag but even though mine weren't perfect they still looked really cool and tasted great no matter HOW they looked! Delicious cake that I will certainly make A LOT!!
