  • Cook and drain spaghetti. Stir in butter, parmesan cheese and eggs. Form spaghetti mixture into a "crust" in a buttered 10" pie plate or casserole dish. Spread cottage cheese over bottom of spaghetti "crust."
  • In a skillet cook meat, onion, and green pepper until meat is browned and vegetables are tender. Drain excess fat. Stir in undrained tomatoes, tomato paste, sugar, oregano and garlic salt; heat through. Turn meat mixture into spaghetti "crust."
  • Bake, uncovered, in a 350°F oven for 20 minutes. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese atop. Bake 5 minutes or until cheese is melted.

Special Equipment Needed


It will save time if you start the meat mixture after you put the water on to boil for your spaghetti. Also, you may leave out the cottage cheese if your family does not like it. Make a double batch and freeze one for a later dinner.
