  • Rice:
  • In bottom of sauce pan add salt, 1 Sazon packet, & enough oil to wet all the Sazon & salt; add water (1 - 2 ratio rice to water); bring to a boil; add rice & stir; heat should be medium to medium - high heat; cover & wait for water to dry & dimples form in rice; reduce heat to low, keep covered & cook for 15 - 20 minutes; stir & serve.
  • Meat:
  • Combine all remaining ingredients, except onions & peppers; add oil on bottom of pan & heat on medium - high heat; add meat mixture; it will release its own juices, & saute that for 3 - 5 minutes; then add a cup of water & wait for that to cook down; before water cooks all the way down, add onions & peppers & cook for 10 minutes.

Special Equipment Needed


After all the water cooks down, try it & see if it is soft enough. Depending on how soft you want it, you can keep adding a cup of water so it will get softer.
