Spinach and Pasta "Get Your Kids to Eat Their Veggies"

  • Cook pasta according to directions. In separate large skill pour enough olive oil to cover the bottom of pan and up side walls about 1/2". Turn heat up to medium under oil. Take the 2 frozen square packages of spinach, place in microwave (do not remove from or open packages!) Cook on high for 5 minutes.
  • While the oil heats up peel and crush the 2 cloves of garlic, add to oil stirring frequently till lightly browned. Take spinach out of microwave and cut open one end of package and gently add to garlic and oil mix. Stir frequently breaking up any spinach clumps that are still frozen. Continue cooking over medium heat until macaroni is al dente. Cover and remove from heat.
  • Drain macaroni. Place in large serving bowl. Add entire contents of skillet on top of macaroni. Mix thoroughly. Start adding Kraft Parmesan/Romano Cheese a little at a time stirring in between additions. Use entire bottle (easiest way remove entire lid and plastic seal from grated cheese, dump large amount into hand and crumble over spinach and pasta mixture.) Add Kraft Parmesan Cheese (same way as above) and garlic powder. Continue stirring till grated cheese begins to melt or until very well mixed. Cover let stand covered while you get table set and ready. (If you like you can also sprinkle a light dash of ground red pepper.) Serve by large heaping spoonfuls.

Special Equipment Needed


Can be used a main dish, or a simple side dish. Other great mixes - Add fully cooked sweet Italian sausage removed from casing and crumbled. Add fully cooked chicken breast sliced, or cubes. This dish is a great way to get your kids to eat spinach. Also, a healthy vegetarian dish.
