  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Mix and pat into a 9x13-inch pan: crushed pretzels, 1/2 cup sugar, and melted butter. Bake for 10 minutes. Cool.
  • Cream together: cream cheese, 1 cup sugar, and Cool Whip. Spread on cooled pretzel crust.
  • Mix: Jell-O and water. Chill. When mix begins to thicken, add strawberries. When almost set, spread strawberry mixture over the creamed cheese mixture. Refrigerate until firm.


The servings on this are large and this is a rich dessert so I actually make about 24 servings out of this single recipe.

    I think this dessert was wonderful! It's not a hard recipe to prepare but it did take some time to make it. Will make again!

    I used graham cracker crumbs instead of pretzels to cut the salt I used 2 lg. pgs. cream cheese instead of 1-1/2 I used 2 c. of strawberry juice instead of 2 c. boiling water (I used the strawberry juice in the frozen strawberries) I used 20 oz. of frozen strawberries found in the the frozen food aile
